As summer temperatures rise, more travelers are dreaming of visiting Korea
but preparing for a trip during the hot season can be a bit overwhelming.
Today, we’re sharing essential tips and timely travel information to help you plan ahead for your summer visit to Korea.
The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is currently hosting a special summer travel event until August 5.
Targeting international tourists, the campaign promotes Korea’s diverse travel experiences and features popular content
from the official VisitKorea platform.
The campaign also offers personalized travel recommendations to boost interest in traveling to Korea.

This special event classifies travelers into six types: Active Adventurer, Cultural Explorer, Foodie, Nature Lover,
Night View Collector, and Indoor Enthusiast.
Based on a short personality quiz, visitors can discover customized destinations
and activities that match their style — making it easier to enjoy Korea in their own way.

There’s also a fun “Attendance Check Challenge” to encourage repeat visits.
Every time you check in on the summer event page, you’ll earn “ice cubes” which can be collected and exchanged for prizes.
The more you visit, the better your chances of winning.
According to Park So-young, head of the Global Digital Marketing team, over 40 million users visited VisitKorea last year.
Using this data, KTO provides seasonal, tailored content and plans to expand personalized marketing based on user preferences and behavior through its Customer Data Platform

In addition, travelers can apply for K-ETA (Korean Electronic Travel Authorization) to enter Korea visa-free.
The process costs KRW 10,000 (about $7 USD), and results are typically available within 72 hours.
If you already have a travel plan, applying in advance can help speed up your arrival and make your trip more hassle-free
