When it comes to Korean pop culture, few
names are as globally recognized and locally adored as PSY. The man behind the
viral hit Gangnam Style isn’t just a global K-pop icon. In Korea, he’s a
beloved entertainer known for his electrifying stage presence, infectious
energy, and dedication to his fans. And every summer, he proves it all over
again with his legendary Soaking Wet Show.
Korea’s Hottest Summer Concert Tradition

Every year, as temperatures and humidity
soar in Korea, thousands of fans cool off with the help of powerful water
cannons and non-stop dancing at PSY’s Summer SWAG (흠뻑쇼). What started in 2006 as a summer concert series called Summer
Stand evolved into a full-blown phenomenon by 2011, when water was first
incorporated. Since then, Soaking Wet Show has become a must-attend event in
the K-pop calendar, with tickets selling out in minutes and fans returning year
after year. With explosive visuals, top-tier guest
performances, and PSY’s iconic humor and charisma, the show isn’t just a
concert—it’s a festival of joy, energy, and unforgettable memories.

The 2025 Soaking Wet Show Tour kicked off
in epic style on June 28 at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium in Seo-gu, Incheon.
With 30,000 fans in attendance, the show delivered everything it promised and
more - music, lights, water, and pure K-pop excitement. Dressed out in his signature bold blue
outfit, PSY opened the night with Champion and Paradise, instantly bringing the
crowd to life. Giant water cannons blasted into the air as fans, many dressed
in official blue merch and raincoats, jumped, sang, and danced their way into
summer bliss. Despite the 94% humidity, smiles and cheers filled the venue from
start to finish.

Surprise Guests
One of the most unforgettable highlights of
the Incheon concert was the surprise appearance of two K-pop legends: BLACKPINK’s
Rosé and G-Dragon.

Rosé graced the stage with her dreamy
vocals and cool charisma, performing her hit APT. along with solo songs Toxic
Till the End and Dance All Night. She charmed the audience, saying it was an
honor to finally be part of the iconic Soaking Wet Show.

Later, G-Dragon brought a powerful edge to
the stage with his performances of POWER, Home Sweet Home, and Crooked with
PSY. His high-energy rapping and unexpected shirt toss sent fans into a frenzy,
proving once again why he remains one of the most magnetic performers in K-pop.
A Summer Festival Like No Other
Korean summers are famously hot and humid,
but at a PSY concert, no one minds getting wet. The atmosphere at Soaking Wet
Show is pure happiness: crowds of all ages — from teens to grandparents — come
together to sing, dance, and cool off. The event feels like a giant outdoor
water party combined with a K-pop showcase, offering a truly unique experience
for both locals and international fans. PSY himself summed it up best on stage: “Don’t think about anything else — just focus
on being happy today”.

Following the sensational opening in
Incheon featuring surprise performances from Rosé and G‑Dragon, the Soaking Wet Show 2025 tour moved to Uijeongbu on July 5,
where BTS’s J‑Hope joined PSY
on stage, performing “Killin' It Girl,” “Mic Drop,” and “Outro: Ego.” The July part of the tour had a lot of equally thrilling moments with a guest roster featuring CL, Seventeen’s BSS (BooSeokSoon), Jannabi, Park Jae‑beom (Jay Park), and regular campfire‑style appearances from Sung Si‑kyung. Additionally, other guest appearances — including Hwasa and possibly more surprise collaborators — are expected later in the tour, though exact dates and cities haven’t been announced yet.

His dedication to creating a one-of-a-kind live experience has cemented his reputation as not only a performer but also a master showman in the K-pop world.
