What happens when a crush makes the familiar world feel unfamiliar?

That question sits at the center of NCT WISH’s new comeback. The group’s fourth mini album, I SPY, is scheduled for release on October 12, 2026, at 6 p.m. Korea time. Across its six tracks and two contrasting teaser moods, the project invites fans into the awkward, exciting moment of realizing they like someone.

If you’re new to NCT WISH, you don’t need to know every chapter of their story to follow this one. Start with the feeling the teasers introduce: first, confusion; then, the rush of possibility.

From “Confused Boy” to “Lover Boy”

Rather than revealing one visual mood, NCT WISH introduced I SPY through two named concepts: “Confused Boy” and “Lover Boy.” The official Weverse media page brings together the trailers and member teaser images for both.

The names offer a simple way into the comeback. “Confused Boy” suggests the uncertainty of a new feeling. “Lover Boy” points toward what happens when that feeling becomes harder to ignore.

Look at how the two sets of images use color, expressions, and styling before you listen. Which version feels like the beginning of the story? Which looks like the moment the characters understand what is happening to them?

That kind of visual storytelling is part of the pleasure of following a K-pop comeback. A trailer or photograph gives you something to wonder about; the music and performance can then confirm, complicate, or change your first impression.

    What’s on the New Album?

I SPY contains six songs, including a title track of the same name. The announced track list also includes “We Own This Street,” “UPGRADE,” “Super Major,” “Hubble Time,” and “Dream (Like A Dream).”

Ahead of release, SM Entertainment shared descriptions of several tracks. “We Own This Street” was introduced as hip-hop-based alternative pop, while “UPGRADE” was described as an uptempo electronic song that continues a game-world idea from the group’s earlier music. Those descriptions suggest the mini album will move through more than one sound, but the full listening experience begins when the songs arrive.

For a first listen, try playing the six tracks in order before choosing a favorite. Notice where the album feels playful, where it slows down, and whether the title track changes how you read the teasers.

A Comeback You Can Follow in More Than One Place

For fans, a K-pop release often unfolds through several pieces of content. With I SPY, the trailers and photos came first. NCT WISH also announced an “I SPY YOU” event streamed on YouTube, TikTok, and Weverse on October 11, the day before the album’s scheduled release.

Physical editions add another way to experience the concept. Weverse’s release notice lists Disc Pack, Acrylic Stand, and SMini versions of the album. If you’re considering one, check the contents of the specific edition and whether the listing is random or lets you choose a version. The formats and included items differ.

You can also enjoy this comeback without buying an album. Watch the two concept trailers, listen to the release, and return to the images afterward. Details that looked like decoration the first time may feel like part of a story once you’ve heard the songs.

    The Moment to Watch For

The strongest question going into I SPY is how NCT WISH will carry the shift from “Confused Boy” to “Lover Boy” into the title track and its performance. The teasers have introduced two moods; the release will show how they fit together.

Maybe you’ll connect first with a song. Maybe a line, a color, or a moment in the choreography will make the concept click. That’s the fun of a comeback built around a feeling many people recognize: you think you know what your day looks like, and then someone catches your eye.
