After years of focusing on individual
careers, K-pop powerhouse MAMAMOO is finally back together. The beloved quartet
– Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein, and Hwasa – has reunited for the release of their
new digital single "4WARD", marking their first full-group comeback in years
and kicking off an ambitious new chapter that includes a global tour and
special anniversary events.
For fans around the world, the comeback is
more than just a new song. It is a celebration of MAMAMOO’s enduring bond and a
reminder of why the group remains one of K-pop’s most respected vocal acts more
than a decade after debut.

New Single "4WARD"

Released as a special project for the group’s
12th anniversary, "4WARD" symbolizes MAMAMOO moving forward together while
honoring the journey that brought them here. The title cleverly combines the
number four – representing the four members – with the idea of looking ahead
toward the future.

The single arrives after a long period in
which the members pursued separate activities under different management
arrangements. While MAMAMOO never officially disbanded, full-group promotions
became increasingly rare as each member focused on solo music, television
appearances, and personal projects. The release of "4WARD" therefore represents
one of the most significant moments in the group’s recent history.

World Tour "4WARD"

The comeback is accompanied by the 2026
WORLD TOUR [4WARD], MAMAMOO’s first major global tour since their successful "MY
CON" world tour. The tour opens with three concerts in Seoul from June 19 to
21, coinciding with the group’s anniversary celebrations.
Following Seoul, MAMAMOO will travel across
Asia and North America, with announced stops including Kaohsiung, Macau,
Singapore, Manila, New York, Chicago, Fort Worth, Cedar Park, Los Angeles, San
Jose, Kent, and Hong Kong. The tour is expected to reconnect the group with
international fans who have waited years to see all four members share the
stage again.

Given MAMAMOO’s reputation for powerful
live vocals and charismatic performances, anticipation for the tour has been
exceptionally high among global fans.
The
"MAMAMOO Blooming Weekend" Celebration

Before launching fully into tour
activities, the group is also hosting the special fan event “MAMAMOO Blooming
Weekend” from June 12th to June 14th this month. Designed
as a commemorative anniversary gathering, the event celebrates MAMAMOO’s
journey with fans and serves as a warm reunion between the members and their
loyal fandom, Moomoo.

The event reflects the group’s emphasis on
fan connection throughout their career and helps set the tone for the larger “4WARD”
project. Rather than focusing solely on a comeback release, MAMAMOO has framed
2026 as a celebration of their shared history and future together.
What
the Members Have Been Doing
Part of the excitement surrounding "4WARD"
comes from how much each member has grown during the group’s hiatus from
full-team promotions.

Solar stayed
busy through both music and stage work ahead of MAMAMOO’s reunion. Alongside
her activities in MAMAMOO+, she continued pursuing musical theater projects and
recently released new music, further showcasing her versatility as a vocalist
and performer. Fans have also been anticipating more solo material after Solar
hinted at ongoing work on new music earlier this year.

Moonbyul spent
the past year actively promoting as a solo artist. She wrapped up her
successful MUSEUM concert tour across Asia with a finale in Hong Kong and
followed it with special Seoul performances and the release of her single "REV". Her steady stream of concerts and music releases kept her closely connected
with fans leading up to MAMAMOO’s comeback.

Wheein
focused on her solo artistry, returning in April with the English-language
single “The Symphony of Fxxkboys” from her project adagio. The release drew
attention for its cinematic storytelling and mature themes, while further
highlighting her distinctive vocal style. She also remained active through
collaborations and festival appearances before rejoining group promotions.

Hwasa
continued her impressive run as one of K-pop’s most successful female soloists.
Following the massive success of “Good Goodbye,” she held her first solo
concert, MI CASA, and returned this spring with the digital single “So Cute.”
Her strong chart performance and continued popularity only heightened
anticipation for MAMAMOO’s long-awaited return as a full group.
Together, these individual achievements
have only increased interest in what the four members can accomplish once
reunited.
A
New Chapter for MAMAMOO

Few K-pop groups manage to maintain both
their individual identities and their group chemistry over more than a decade.
MAMAMOO’s return with “4WARD” demonstrates exactly that. The new single, the “Blooming
Weekend” event, and the upcoming world tour all signal that the quartet is
ready to write another chapter in its story.
For longtime Moomoos and newer K-pop fans
alike, 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting years in MAMAMOO’s
career. After years of waiting, all four members are finally moving forward
together.
